Community is about people working together for each other to achieve agreed or beneficial outcomes.

So often I hear people say "It's my way of giving back", there is a school of thought that says if you have to give back you took to much originally. I prefer the thought that you offer to serve or contribute, in both these cases people can accept the offer or not BUT it means you feel you can add value and have the time to do so. Giving back suggests repaying a debt?

Contributing can be offering your time, donating services or even a donation of funds. It does not always have to be about money or time either, sometimes connecting people with like minded individuals or just "introducing" people to other user groups can help both enormously. We all have different networks and skillsets, lets apply those to creating a better future with more opportunities instead of closing systems down.

I am proud to say that with another business person that we facilitate a group of business owners very second week on a turn up when you can basis, this group have a strong focus on community and use the collective network to assist as and when they can. It was a business concept but has become more wide ranging and philanthropic.

Community is also about bringing all parts of the region together, is it easy? It is not, when some do good others poke and prod to find out why or what's the catch.

Sometimes people do cos they can and they wish to, its than damn simple. so reflect of the graphic and start anew tomorrow.
